Obituary for Claude Sauriol
SAURIOL, Claude – It is with broken hearts that the family of Claude Sauriol announces his sudden passing on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in his 54th year. Beloved husband of Teri (nee Augustino) and loving father of Cass (Bailey). Brother-in-law and best friend of Kevin Augustino, uncle of Mickey and Angelina and dear family friend of Stacey Hunter. Claude will be sadly missed by his special “son“ Kelsey Lennox and “daughters” Taylor Thomas and Kaitlin MacLeod (Paul). He was honoured to be known as “Papa” to Katilin’s children Maddison, Savannah and Bentley. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Claude’s close friends were “family “to him and he will be lovingly remembered by his “best buds” Tom, Dave, Kevin, John, Mike and his dear friend Ron Garby and their families.
In his 53 years of life he thrived on making others laugh with his captivating stories that were always followed by his unmistakable and contagious laugh. Claude’s other passion was helping others. He didn’t care who you were, if he thought he could help, he would give it his all. He would often be heard saying “if you want it done right, Claude will do it” and with those words, he made it happen. He had a brilliant mind that would see things not only outside the box, but in a completely different room. His personality made him a stranger to no one. He was well known and highly respected in the Trucking Industry. As an “encyclopedia” of the business, his marketing and developing strategies always set him apart from the rest.
A man who was steeped in his heritage, he was a force to be reckoned with. If a life could be measured by special moments, his was rich beyond measure. Claude will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his special family and the many lives he touched.
Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Claude’s life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, please consider donating to a trust fund created for his daughter Cass that will help her continue her post-secondary studies and fulfill her father’s dream for her. Please forward contributions to the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com
