2010-01-14 - The H.L. Cudney Funeral Home is committed to the families that we serve. Our funeral home is dedicated to providing all facets of our business to the community and part of this commitment is ensuring that our clients are made aware of important changes. Effective July 1, 2010, Ontario will be subject to the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). For consumers, this means that funeral expenses will be subject to the 13% HST rather than the 5% GST they are currently subject to. You have the opportunity to prepay these expenses before the HST takes effect and save yourself 8%.
